Sinead recommended that we go to this gig in Warrenpoint while we were all up in the Mournes-
and glad we went too, it was a good gig, very enjoyable- Mirenda Rosenburg and her band.

Friar Tuck’s afterwards, however, maybe less so-

I brought a roll of TMax 400, in an OM2n which I hadn’t used for years-
a bit like riding a bike though, lovely camera, must see if I can get a clean one.
    All these on a 180mm 2.8 Zuiko-
I was hoping for one standout picture, didn’t get it, so there’s more here than usual from me-

Anyone got a picture of Rob’s duet?

For me the fourth is a standout shot, very nicely drawn silhouette.
Number 1 would be next but seems to suffer from grain (or something else) much more than the rest.
And then 5, the guy is a bit distracting, but as he is looking at the singer he works in telling the story.
    These 3 are very nice.

Yeah, number 4 is the standout for me too.

Well done JB. #4 also for me.

I’ve only briefly looked at what I captured and unfortunately not fully understanding how to use the new
s90 camera, I’ll be lucky to get 1-2 photos out of it (didn’t know where focus lock was and shot as 6MB jpg jeez :) )

Anyhow, will see if I have anything of Rob although Pixelle had the best viewpoint.

Thanks for the comments- I’m a bit surprised you all mentioned number 4-
if I were to list my preferences, that one might only make it to about 4th, maybe-

That guy in the background was the guitar player, and band leader, so I thought he might be ok in the picture-
and he’s providing a bit of baldy bokeh too-
there weren’t many things lit on that stage.

Two Par Cans provided all the lighting- one for her, one for the band,
and they were both on the same stand, off to one side.
At least one more light, from the front would have made for better pictures, I reckon that’s the missing element…

    6MB jpeg Mark?
    I can only dream of 6MP jpegs…

    nice set Joseph

~4 aswell for me – think due to the less obvious grain but the composition/lighting are great
~5 would be close favourite as i think it captures a story though on my screen its very grainy

    Thanks again for the comments-
I suppose I should have let that grain go to black, rather than just above it-
the noise it produces digitally just isn’t worth it-
there’s no information in there, it’s just unexposed film,
and letting it go to black wouldn’t reduce any detail in the exposed areas-
or produce more grain there either.

It was good to use the OM again, brought it all back-
I might give it another go at some stage- although making prints would be far preferable to scanning,
I don’t have that option right now.

I do like the last two myself, especially the last, I think, I like the hands-

    Thanks again-
