Do you need permission from the Missus…

BMParticipant
I just don’t understand the anti-dishwasher argument. If you don’t have a dishwasher, how to you get your motorbike bits clean?
nfl-fanParticipantSorry Georgie Boy… I’ve heard it all before… besides you have to have a minimum of 4 Pies to contribute on this thread.
See you in a year or so and tell your missus I was asking for her too
Alan RossiterParticipantJust for you John, a tutorial.
Obviously not as elaborate as your own PS tutorials but it does suffice.
JodyParticipantMy only anti-dishwasher argument is these calgon tablets. It’s a false economy. Calgon tablets can extend the life of your dishwasher? Yes! But how much does that cost you? Over the life of your dishwasher…it probably costs you the price of another dishwasher!
Just don’t use Calgon, let the dishwasher die of limescale and buy a new one.
PixelleMemberlet the dishwasher die of limescale
But you don’t have to, Jody. Just move to a soft water area and you can save its life.
wirepicParticipantSorry, I appear to be lost here. I was looking for the Photography Ireland forum and seem to have ended up here in the Dishwashing Ireland forum instead. Can anyone help me find a way out? The missus will kill me if I’m not back in time to fill the dishwasher :)
ExpresbroParticipantIt’s the recession ya see. The Photography Ireland forum and the Dishwasher Appreciation Society of Ireland forums have been amalgamated.
There are further rumours that the new group will soon be joined with the Cave Dwellers Association website and the troubled, Argumentative Photographers Union to form a super Forum.
I hope this is clear as mud:-)
Robbie
8)Alan RossiterParticipantExpresbroParticipantActually..I hate the damned dishwasher too Alan… ;-)
Anytime I go looking for a mug or a plate…guess where it is..in the dishwasher!!!
And nobody remembered to turn it on..Bahhh!!!
nfl-fanParticipantT’is funny.. nobody will admit to reading a discussion about dishwashers.. but I’d love to know how many people on this site actually read this thread. 767 views… in under 48 hours. Some people will moan and groan… but someone is obviously having a snoop around.
Of course… this is only an assumption and doesn’t necessarily apply to all people.
Sometimes it’s fun to go off on a tangent, especially on a Monday morning… and as I keep saying of late “Nobody has died, or was seriously injured”. Yeah, it can get annoying to see people rabbitting on about stuff that has nothing to do with photography… but it’s only as annoying as you let it.
Viva la Dishwasher Debate.
nfl-fanParticipantSee.. Robbie is sucked in now.. even though I bet he didn’t want to get involved.
Not sure what he means when he mentions Argumentative Photographers though?
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
cathaldParticipantJust a quick reply, not to the dishwasher topic, but to Johns input about using fairy liquid
It may be good for washing the car John but it contains salt and is bad for the paintwork
Take it from an ex car valet it strips off any polish or wax that is on the carCathal

DASI …
Don’t they publish Dishwasher Weekly or did they amalgamate with Mangle Monthly?
nfl-fanParticipantWell if it strips of wax then that’s excellent news for me Cathal as I can wash myself down in Fairy after my fortnightly back, sack and crack waxing cos that wax does get stuck in some odd places you know.

Good advice Cathal, what would you recommend?
