I had a similar dilemma with Poulnabrone Dolmen at sunset – I eventually went back and took a few different angles, one of which worked a lot better. In my opinion I think the problem here is that it’s not really discernable as a dolmen so has lost it’s impact, despite the sky being perfect around it. It would possibly have worked better if you had been able to get an angle that allowed you to see through the structure, therefor showing its shape and angles a bit better. “Close, but no cigar” is the expression I think :D
Hey Kev great shot love the way the dolman is surrounded by cloud it almost mirrors the dolman . I think I would fall on the side of some detail is good though..
