Dreadlock Holiday!!

ExpresbroParticipant
Dreadlocked punter at the Dublin Docklands Festival last weekend. I considered cropping closer but liked the symmetry between the colours of the sun shade and the red and yellow T-Shirts of the two people in the shot.
What do you think?

I really like this one…..the subject’s expression creates interest….he stands out well from the background…pity about the girl reaching behind him, I find that a tad distracting….also, that bulb above his head reminds me of someone getting an idea in a cartoon! (now I now that’s just nit-picking)….
I’d go for a closer crop defo…..
Hope you enjoyed the festival….those tall-ships sell cheap beer I tell ye…
hammermanParticipantThink the light is wonderfully soft, I’ll have get me one of those tents!!
H..
ExpresbroParticipantThanks Philip. Ah sure at least people are looking..hehehe!! Sometimes a shot leaves ya with not much to say about it…I’m the same myself..so take the good with the bad… :D I agree about yer woman.,…but I thought if I take her out it makes it an extremely tight crop…plus I did like the colour symmetry. Personally I wouldn’t rate this as one of my better compositions…but like you I liked the subjects expression and overall look…we can’t always choose our backgrounds unfortunately though…wish we could..
We saw the beer on the boats but decided to give it a miss and went pub crawling around town instead…maybe we should have checked it out.
Hammerman…they were probably selling them off cheap afterwards… Otherwise Atlantic Homecare might be the place…start a new range of photographic/garden accessories
DenverDollParticipantRobbie,
I think this is really well done. It certainly has the feeling of outdoor summer fun.
Why don’t you try cropping right at the bottom of the lightbulb. You won’t lose any of the color coordination, but you’ll bring that good looking man more into the open :D
