Lovely shot Orla,

Lovely colors (love the color of the sea) and its very well exposed. Part of me would like to see this in Landscape format so I could see what she’s looking at.

Hi Orla. The exposure in this is spot-on. Usually difficult in bright sunlight on a beach. The colours are fantastic, looks more like a tropical getaway than an Irish beach. I also would have prefered it in landscape format to show what she was looking at and possibly a bit more of the blue sky. The dark line (possibly a shadow or seaweed) near her eyeline is a bit distracting too. Overall a nice shot

Ah, an Irish summer, with the denim jacket an essential accessory on any beach. I like the way you’ve caught your subject’s hesitation as she admires but doesn’t touch the chilly briny. Is the horizon a bit …erm?

I like the bubbly breaker you’ve caught.

Lovely shot, i love the colours, espically that warm blue tropical water that the Irish coast is knows for, I do have to agree with miki g about the dark line being a bit distracting, but over all a shot to be pleased with. Well done

Thanks all for the kind comments. The colours were indeed amazing and not what is expected on Ireland’s west coast.

Pixelle, now that you mention it, that horizon is indeed a bit erm….!

Tiny(Niall) and MikiG – I hadn’t noticed that dark line of seaweed, I might try to remedy it.
