Pretty uninspiring view for such a lot of effort! You think they’d choose a great landscape or other epic! Although you can probably read out evert number plate in the car park. One day all the CCTV will be like this!!
Seems a bit harsh lads. I know it’s not an amazing picture but the detail you can get in this way is amazing, to me anyway.
this might not be the best gigapixel image but, technically it’s still great. here’s one of the first gigapixel images http://www.harlem-13-gigapixels.com. at the time the harlem images was produced there was no software capable of stitching such a big image. so autopano wrote it for them.
A bit harsh maybe. But considering all the effort (and money) that went into setting up and taking such a photo, you think that they could’ve put some work into creating an aesthetically pleasing image. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Nothing to it; there is a small computer controlled robot for some P&S cameras; mount the camera and off it goes.
The gizmo costs a few hundred $
