Driving in Italy

Has anybody drove a car in Italy
I was in a few places in Italy last week and they are all nuts on the road
I think this country invented bumpers for cars

On a zebra crossing you are fair game to the drivers

We got a taxi and the driver pulled out and went straight across 4 lanes of traffic
An on coming scooter driver went into the side of us and the taxi driver got out to
see if he was ok,picked his bike up,pushed it to the side of the road, walked the
driver to the side of the road then jumped back in the cab and drove on
Gizzo you guys are all mad on the road

mmmm more or less for 8 years, yes :D

may I ask you in which city were you?
I have to admit that I find Ireland paradise from that point of view, and I end up stressed when I go back home.

I could have bet all my photo-gear on that.
nice city, but mental traffic-wise :D
I hate driving fast, but I must admit that I have problems respecting all other laws :)

I drove in some of the biggest cities, like Rome and Milan, plus I am from Turin. it’s very stressful, expecially if you have to haul a van and trying to park it!
    loads of cursing involved :D

I used to drive a moped since I was 14, and also been several times a passenger….. well it’s an experience :D
I hope you had a nice time there!
pretty sure you were roasting in Trapani, nearby you find some of the finest beach!

Naples is in a league of it’s own I think, but I was driving an SUV in Rome a couple of times and it didn’t seem to be any worse than Hungary… You have to get used to it, and of course, size matters :)
