WHAT ARE 3RD GEN CAMERAS?
These are the new line of cameras that don’t use the 20th century technology of a mechanical mirror inside that flips up and down between photos. In a few years, we’ll all look back and smile, having fond memories of using these Da Vinci-esque mechanical devices. Charts of how cameras used to work with their flipping innards will look like some of Leonardo’s unrealized steampunk inventions.
Do you agree that DSLRs are a dying breed?
Personally, I just ordered the Fujifilm X-Pro 1 on Amazon (even though as I write this Fujifilm haven’t even announced the camera yet). This sort of form factor is more attractive to me that the DSLR form factor. I’ve been using Leica M2 (film camera) for the past year and that size is perfect for me.
If the specs of the X-Pro don’t add up, I will cancel my order and probably go with the NEX 7.
I thought for a mionute we were going back to FILM !!
well I sold my 5D about 2 years ago and im totally analogue now.
I dont know anything about any digital equipment produced in the last
2 years and dont know whats coming next.
I cant imagine why they cannot make a full frame sensor in a mirrorless
body more readily available?
Personally I think modern digital photography is more about processing
than it is about the camera.
Yes seen that a few weeks back. over time i think the drive is to get the camera smaller and smaller. Be a few years before I give up my D300
