Hi,
Here are three pictures I took on my Lomo Fisheye back in October.
1.
2.
3.
I’ve gone to the Marathon the last two year. Quite enjoyable experience.
Any comments are welcome.Thanks,
Alan
randomwayMemberDid you call the ambulance for the guy in the second?
Nice set of photos, nice light in the second one.
DeeboParticipantGood shots and second one is comical
Thining of buy a lomo and now i might just. thanks
DeejessthespringerParticipantUnusual subject to shoot on lomo, but it works.
I like the third, very nice.Sinead
bingbongbiddleyParticipantThanks for the comments. The second one was taken with about 24 miles or more done. I probably would have looked like that guy after about two miles done so I’m not going to slag him. :D
Yeah, light is nice in the second. These low fi cameras seem to work better in harsh sunlight unlike SLRs.
Unusual subject to shoot on lomo
Why so? :) Anything works for a lomo for me.
What do you think makes a good subject for a lomo, out of curiousity?
Thanks again,
Alan

They do like bright light, it took me a while to figure that out…
Maybe I meant, unusual to see lofi pictures of sports, don’t think I’ve seen any here before.
I think a lot of the time sporting pictures are so sharp and so clean, they lack atmosphere,
these are great though, different to sporting pictures we normally see…I don’t know what makes a good subject, anything I guess, if the light is right…

True that. :)
Thanks for the compliment. I had an image in my head from the first time I went of capturing the runners going past the GPO in a fisheye style. Then when I got the lomo I knew what I had to do. :)
I believe that fisheyes and low fidelity photo work well for crowds of people. So I always take my fisheye along the parades and marches etc.
I get what you mean about sports photos normally being clean cut and highly defined. ‘spose it does make a nice change.
I might stick up a few more from the marathon later. They’re all quite similar though to be honest.
