robbie,
I know I told you before…but since the final piece is posted here..
The little bit you’ve done to finish it since I saw makes it just lovelier.
I do miss being down there..nice memories!
One of my favorites of yours in a while :D

jb7ParticipantGood one Robbie,
there’s a lot of detail there,
a lot to hold the interest-Choosing a view on that part of the Liffey will inevitably lead to compromises;
I’m glad you covered up the Irish Life building,
but not so glad to see Jury’s detention centre-The bridge is blanked by that container too-
maybe a bit of a pity, that-Perfect timing with the lighting-
although there is evidence of construction work in the sky-
maybe its sharpening halos,
but it could also be masking-
around the spire, and the buildings, in the sky-I like the format,
but I also like reflections-
so a bit of a toss up there too-Agree with Noely-
Postcard material-Good one-
j
RobMemberLovely work Robbie. Glad you posted it large too,
helps to make out all that lovely detail.
Nice one…Rob.
PeteTheBlokeMemberImmediate impression was, “Wow, that’s nice”.
Then… “There’s shake” – I thought I could see movement as if you’d handheld it.
I quickly realised this could not be the case. If you could even out the weird artefacts around
the sky edges then this would be a really good nighttime cityscape.I’ll buy a postcard for sure, when I’m next down Dublin way.
ExpresbroParticipantThanks guys…..pretty happy with this one myself. I’ll have a look at the sharpening halo’s if that’s what they are…not sure why because I didn’t do any selective sharpening on this one…just a plain old unsharp mask on the whole lot and not a huge amount at that…but I’ll have another look.
Joseph…I actually thought about cloning out that Jury’s sign..but then I thought bugger it…it’s there for all it’s garishness..so there it stayed…I’ll just blame the city planners….
Kinda ironic the day that’s in it to be talking about Jury’s…they closed the doors on Jury’s Ballsbridge today and The Berkeley Court so that we can have more luxurious apartments for the rich and famous…wonder will people stil say “..can you let me off at Jury’s..” ?
S-ManMemberLovely photo Robbie.
Postcard quality maybe you should geet a few printed ???
