Dublin Last night

Got my first pics of the Beckett bridge. Boy was it cold out there!

Also had a ramble around the Grand Canal area…

I think this may be getting printed out large on glass when I get my house extended

These are great – each in a distinct style.

    I particularly like the third.

The last could be printed large and hung on the wall of any cafe in Dublin – I have seen many like this of New York.

A nice set. And I agree with BM about the last one.

The second would better I think if the right hand side was cropped and the photo squared off. Very nicely abstract though.

I really like your style in these photos and of course the processing
which I feel too many people ignore…the last shot is really great
and its pin sharp….absolutely top class.

Beautiful set of images, both technically and compositionally.

    thanks folks

wirepic – you are right regarding the crop, I didn’t really notece it until I saw it on the white background

Regarding the processing – the first bridge was just a white balance and increase the black slider in lightroom. The second bridge pic is a crop and convert to B&W (standard LR preset I think). For the third one, the image was a bit soft, possibly due wind. With this I changed the white balance slightly and I set the clarity right down to -100 to give it a kind of dreamy look (and to obscure the fact that it was blurred  ). The last one is a pano of 9 or 10 shots, converted using the LR High contrast B&W preset. Ithink this one is going to look good as a huge perspex-mounted print to make it really glow.

    Thanks again for the feedback!
