    Nice work Mick. I like your style, very unexpected.
    For me, the first image could tolerate a crop from the top,
    though that might spoil your square format. I don’t feel the
    red brick section is contributing anything to the overall look
    or mood of the image.
    Love the angle of the second, and the processing you’ve used.
    The expressions are fantastic…

    I know what you mean about the first one, but I like the redbrick for a coupla reasons:
    They add even more horizontal and vertical lines to an image already chokka with them;
    The image doesn’t look as oppressive without them, I tried it;
    They introduce a bit of colour;
    I like them;
    So there ;)

    Nice stuff, Mick. But, there’s always a “BUT”, isn’t there!

    I’d crop the first one at the top just below the windows – leaving the red brick
    and delete the road.

    The second one is typical Dublin city centre. I wouldn’t mess with your wan on the left! Is that the GPO?
    Like the processing style.

    Two very good shots.

    Id agree about the crop in the first however.

    Second one is perfect. Wouldnt change a thing about it. Great character expression

    Nice to see some great street work being posted again. Really like these. Snapshots of daily life. Full of character. I think there are dozens of cropping possibilities with the first and the second is just great. Well done.
