You just need to get around the other side of the bird to get the best shot.
The sun seems to be quite strong leaving the face too much in shadow, although the sun coming through shows wonderful texture in the mohawk, you can’t have everything.Martin
Agree with Martin., Shooting against the sun leaves too much contrast and shadows. Nice idea and you might be able to lift some details from the shadows in PS
