Duck & Flower – two for C&C

Hi Guys,
managed to get a few in the woods before the rain started today – and then spent the “rain-time” photoshopping, well not a whole lot really. Comments appreciated.

the duck photo looks very contrasty, perhaps over sharpened, or perhaps its a tight crop. also, was the sun high in the sky as it looks a bit severe.
Id give the duck another go. sorry, and not being harsh, but your second image proves you have skill and could do better on the duck.the flower is very nice. nice blur on the background, flower in perfect focus, exposed wonderfully. it would look nice in a small frame.
