Looks great, the red in the towers, well everything really. I think industrial photography has it’s own magic.
BrickeeParticipantThat is an interesting shot Rob, I like the compision and openness here.
Do you Know what is being built?Jim
MartinParticipantVery nice Rob, has your colour post processing look to it. This cement factory is only down the road from me. Have always wanted to get a good pic of it, I think the angle you took it at is good and is an angle i might try myself. Like the smoke and how its blowing back into the center of the image. Below is night shot i tried last year from around the back of it

We must meet up sometime soon

I do believe you pointed this place out to me when I was down. Well,
you got your shot and it’s a good one too. I like the highlighted smoke
contrasting with the feeble trickle from chimney no.2.Loads of details. You should give us a 100% crop from the derrick.
tribalwingsMemberLovely picture Rob, I was just driving over that road on Friday evening when the sun was going down. The sky had a lovely orange glow to contrast the dark clouds.
Just a pity it was gone by the time I made it home to collect the camera :(DeeboParticipantJay KingParticipantHey Rob…
good shot there… I have to say at first it didn’t really stand out for me… but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. Lots to see…

randomwayMemberRobertoMemberNice photo with good composition and mood.
I would like to see it in b&w and think it would be great as enviromental photo.RobMemberThank you all very much for the comments, a bit of an unexpected surprise
to see so many…Martin. I like your night shot very much, and yes, we must meet up soon –
the evening are getting nice and bright now so there’s no excuse not to.Pete. This isn’t the same one I showed you on your visit, but I will be posting
that particular scene soon. As for the 100% crop, I’ll sort that out for you as soon
as I’m back at my own computer with the original file.Again, thanks to everyone for the positive responses…
Rob.
jb7ParticipantVery good Rob-
that big jeep is the most important piece of kit in your camera bag-You’ll have to get a flashing orange light for it-
The grass is always greener-
I’ll start that again-
the foreground seems a little bit too saturated-
to me-
You’ve been picking up some bad habits from that other bloke…I might prefer to see this darker, like some of your urban regeneration set-
maybe less saturated overall-I reckon you should work on this one a bit more-
looks good-j

I see what you mean, about the green that is, though it is as I remember
it. A less saturated, bleaker finish might suit better. I shall oblige along with
the crop Pete requested…Rob.
RobMemberAs requested…
For Pete, a 100% crop…
For Roberto, a mono version…
…and for Joseph, a slight darker though less saturated version…
Quick edits, hope they’re okay…
Rob.
