Dungarvan by night First Post—be gentle DragonboyParticipant October 17, 2008 at 12:38 pm This was taken during the summer in Dungarvan Comments welcome PeteTheBlokeMember October 17, 2008 at 1:11 pm Nice shot. I’d be tempted to crop a little off top and bottom but that’s a subjective comment really. There’s a dark bar through the sky about quarter of the way in – is it a mast? It look odd enough to consider cloning it out. guthrijParticipant October 17, 2008 at 1:19 pm Fine shot. I agree with Pete, create a crop of the central area of the image and clone out the dark bar. Cheers, John PeteWMember October 17, 2008 at 1:33 pm Looks like the long exposure caught some drift in that blue boat with the mast. Could be cloned out easy enough. Personally I would go for cropping some off the top OR the bottom rather than both. Put the horizon nearer the top or bottom. carrigmanParticipant October 17, 2008 at 6:23 pm I like it exactly as it is. I wouldn’t crop it. I love the deep blue of the sky and the water. dave100Participant October 18, 2008 at 12:20 am Hey dragon – like the images.. Crop could work well to take out some of the water… Nice overall composition, daithi Thomas GeeMember October 19, 2008 at 7:08 pm The cropped image works for me dragonboy SteveDParticipant October 19, 2008 at 9:17 pm Very nicely done from a technical standpoint. The composition is ok, I just wish that there were more boats (and white boats at that!). I think Pete’s suggestions would help this image a lot. It is a place to return to when you would expect the harbour to be a little busier. Viewing 8 posts - 1 through 8 (of 8 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
