Given the title.. I’d have expected to see more church.. and a little less of everything else.. especially those yellow flowered bushes (the name escapes me).
I just don’t think it works as is… all the interest points are too far away away… and all the un-interesting bits are dominating the foreground.
Looks like a quaint little building… in a lovely location… just don’t think the shooting position does it justice.
I agree with John on the foreground/general composition. The most striking features of this church are the back drop (Poisoned Glen) which you have captured well and its solitude which is not evident from the whin (?) bushes in the foreground.
Looks like you need to go back! Opportunity for more Guinness.
I’ve driven past this chapel many times (I’ve even been to mass there once)
but I don’t think I have any photos of it. Your picture is nice at the back with the
Poisoned Glen and the big mist cloud thing; unlike NFL I also like the gorse;
but the chapel itself seems to have disappeared into the landscape. Maybe a
really big flash gun, or a shaft of sunlight would have picked it out and then you’d really
be in business.
Thank you very much for your comments, I appreciate it very much :) It’s easier learn when someone tells your mistakes and how to do it better :) Thank you!
