Nice soft colours in both shots, I just not sure why you uploaded 2 versions of almost the same shot.
I would say the first is a crop of the second? I think both work well but the
second shot would hold my attention longer, maybe because there is a little more
to look at. As has been said the colours are beautiful, very peaceful and still.i like the lower , closer vantage point of the 1st ..i also think the letterbox crop suits it . the 2nd is very nice too ..but the foreground hill is hiding alot. beautiful tones in both and the mist really is an added bonus . good captures !
thanks guys, I was driving home one evening on the quay road (anyone from around ballina will know the road) and spotted the mist I parked up and walked a hundred metres back to a spot where i could see the river. the second was shot while balancing the camera on a gate, the first was shot while holding the camera in one hand and trying stand on the rails of the gate and balance , i was surprised to get anything at all, then cropped it. A tripod and hike into someones field were the other options, but trespass was not on the cards
Remember it’s only legally Trespassing if you refuse to leave when asked :)
