Taken Thurs 1 April 2010 – in near darkness.

    Canon EOS 450D.
    Sigma 10-20mm f/4.

    AV mode, f/11 at 10mm with ND4 screw-on filter, resulting in a 30′ exposure.
Some levels & curves in photoshop.

All C&C read & greatly appreciated.

    Nice shot!

I especially like the texture of the water around the rocks and the fact that you can see the small rocks and pebbles under the water in the foreground. I do feel like it’s missing a subject a bit, or maybe it’s the fact the coastline on the right bleeds into the top of the frame? I think I’d prefer to see a little more of the rocks on the left as well. They feel a little cut off by the left edge of the image.

Beautiful colours giving this image a wonderful mood, great detail in the foreground, but i agree about the composition, good work though.

nice location and tones, plenty of potential

i think you would be better leaving the headland out – it doesnt add balance to the image and the halo is distracting

instead focus on the lines of rocks in portrait or landscape format whichever works. another thing you could try is getting low and close to the near rocks to bring out detail and make use of the 10mm wide angle – from there play with the composition

    just my twopence worth

Nice composition but the saturation of the blue in the sky needs to be addressed. Maybe warm up the white balance a bit.
