This test is just stating the obvious, the latest top of the line cameras will give the best possible image quality… I would consider the marginal differences between those top cameras negligible. In the end it’s all about you being comfortable with handling that piece of metal for a few hours a day and getting the photos that you envisioned… I am sure, there are many who can take excellent photos with the M8.
Yes, the M8 looks pretty poor but in reality the M8 is just a device that allows you to create digital images with Leica lenses.

I wish there was something more reasonable (pricewise) to take M-mount lenses. What with the Epsons not being made any more and the Panasonic G1 having such a small sensor vs traditional 35mm. I wait for the cheap full-frame M-mountable, not holding my breath ….
Yes they do all seem to be converging. Fujifilm’s dynamic range seems great for an ’06 camera, hopefully the other will follow their tricks.
