Early morning in Howth

Call me crazy, but the night after going out to Clontarf to take some snaps, I decided it would be a good idea to get up really early on Saturday morning and head over to Howth… see what all this fuss surrounding early morning light is about.
I haven’t done too much post-processing, and I decided to leave the barrel distortion (?) which I actually quite like. It’s a big wide world out there, and it ain’t a flat one, after all ;-)
Looking forward to hearing what you all think of my first attempt at early morning photography!

David 8)I like it, but its missing the essence of an early morning shot, a sunrise.
Than again, in the weather we’ve been having, you did remarkably well just to get the shot.

Thanks Ken. There’s the merest hint of a sunrise there on the left of the shot- although as you say, it was so cloudy, you could barely tell where the sun was actually rising!
I intend to keep trying these early morning shots as the weather improves… even if it does mean getting up progressively earlier as the months roll on :( :D
