Took a drive down to Farmleigh with my daughter today to enjoy the sunny afternoon and take some shots (of course). Spotted these two children wandering through the daffodils and just couldn’t resist such an idyllic scene:

Thanks lads..and lasses :D I’m pretty chuffed with this shot myself. I knew when I spotted it that it had potential..the contrasting colours of the bonnet and dress and flowers was perfect. Can’t claim any part in that  I just crossed my fingers and hoped I’d gotten the focus and exposure right. Would have been sick if I hadn’t :D

Lovely shot. Maybe lose a bit from the bottom, make it wider.

Thanks Si. I’ll have a look at that later..out to grab a few shots in Glendalough with some friends today. I had considered cropping the foreground a bit to lose the flower in the bottom right corner but I didn’t want to lose too much foreground.

    Cheers

A great shot. I agree with Simon about cropping off the bottom – I’d say as much as 150 pixels.

Beautiful image Robbie. You should be well chuffed with this one, and
the suggestion of a crop from the bottom will improve it, but only slightly –
it’s a cracking image cropped or not. Well done you.

Nice one Robbie… really well spotted and captured…! I also think a crop would help but it’s strong just the way it is..! I’d consider cloning out the boy in the background..? Or does it add to the image… cant decide…! Brilliant regardless..!

I agree about the cropping too. Just a small bit from the bottom.

But apart from that, what an excellent shot man. Fair play.

Beauuuutiful shot… I really like it. I’m sure you’re chuffed with alright well done.

The flower sticking out at the bottom right does distract… but if you didn’t want to crop it’s easily cloned out…

Actually I just went ahead and tried it. I also removed the other two people, plus a the flower on the bottom left.

Did you do a bit of cloning yourself? There seems to be some evidence of vertical data repetition more or less dead centre of the photo? Or is it just a fence or something!?!

Here’s the edit hope you don’t mind :)
