I meant to put a note with this pic last night (this morning). If anyone can give me a tip on how to lose or reduce the glare on the building to the right and at the top of the main subject I’d be eternally grateful. I don’t have Photoshop, but I have Photofiltre so hopefully there’ll be a similar tool that I can try it with.
Others would disagree, but I think its fine-
You’re never gonna capture the full dynamic range of shadows and specular solar reflections off stainless steel and glass in the same shot-
and it doesn’t take away from the shot anyway-
in fact I think you’ve controlled it nicely
Thanks J. Am learning quickly with the art of Photography that yes there are rules….and yes there are guidliness..but that a lot of what makes a good photo is down to personal preference. One persons masterpiece is another persons scribblepage
I wouldn’t reduce the glare. Anyway, the loss of detail in that spot might now allow for it.
The photo has got a classic feel to it. It’s the sort of thing you expect to see in a simple, pencil thin frame with a big white mounting and some fancy title on the bottom.
