Fotospeed are advertising the environmentally friendly developing agents called HF3, which is HQ free. Has anyone used it?

They’ve replaced the hydroquinone with an ascorbic acid derivative. Personally I can’t see how that can be less environmentally friendly than the hydroquinone. It certainly appears to be less stable, in that it can go off a lot quicker. I do so little developing now that I don’t worry about these things too much and what little developing I do is all film developing (I don’t have a darkroom and have to get someone else to print or I scan and print digitally).
