Is there any photographers who use portable multimedia viewers?
I am looking for this particular model. Need to make a snapshot image of its harddrive.
Unit does not need to be taken apart to do this and will not lead to any bad consequences.

Basically i have formatted my own unit and need a fresh untouched image from someone else’s same unit.
I would be happy to offer reward to anyone who will help me.

EPSON uk can sort my problem for 150 pounds…… Thats why i have started this topic.
Quick search in Google has revealed that there are many more people like me who have this problem.

    Basically the procedure will be:

    1. Connect fresh p-2000 through USB.
    2. Create snapshot of its harddrive.
    3. Disconnect p-2000.
    4. Will take approximately 20-30 minutes to do.

I can then upload disc image in internet and we can share this file with anyone who has the same problem.
Remember i need only help to get my own device working again.
I will make a snapshot without any of your personal files so your interests will not suffer.

I live in Cork but can travel to anyone who would be willing to help.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who will reply.

That’s some first post ;-) HEEEELLLLPPPP!

I have a P-2000 and I’m sure I could help if it doesn’t affect my device. Which it sounds like it doesn’t. Send me a link to instructions somewhere and I’d be happy to have a look for you. (Might be Monday though if that’s alright?)

I have 16gb of photos on there from travelling. That will probably cause a problem?

Hi Fig, thank you for a reply.
We can move 16gb of photos on a spare harddrive, make a snapshot of your p-2000 and move your pictures back as they were before.
For a double safety sake i will make additional image of your p-2000 with all your photos on it. I doubt we would need to use this image at all its a just another way to make sure we do no harm. :)

Monday is fine for me, could you PM me your details and i will get back to you then?
