Epson Stylus Photo R3000 Problems

I’ve a relatively new R3000 which is getting to be a right pain in the arse!
It’s a fantastic printer and produces top quality prints but lately I’ve noticed it acting up.
Normally I’d have been printing just one print at a time and it worked fine. Now however, I’m printing multiple copies of prints or printing maybe 10 different prints (one at a time) at each sitting.

The problem is the printer refuses to print more than one copy at a time and/or it refuses to print one print immediately after another. After the first print is successfully printed and it’s getting ready for the second, it goes into a four minute dance routine with lots of grinding, whirring and whining noises but no print! I end up having to cancel the job (which also takes an age) and start again.

It doesn’t matter whether I print from PS or from LR5, the same thing happens.

    Any suggestions?

Did you ever solve the problem?
I had the same problem for ages and it wasted a shed load of ink. Updated to the latest drivers and then reset the defaults from the options with the preferences window. Seems to have fixed it
