Here are a couple of shots for c & c. They were actually taken a few weeks before jb’s pods and by coincidence they were from a very similar angle.
They are both of the Tony Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurship in Citywest – also known as the ‘Citywest Pods’. I tried a perspective corrected version (corrected in cs2) however it did seem to lose something quality wise in the correction and didnt gain enough symmetry to make it a worthwhile trade off. I included 2 different versions of the same photograph – the bw one has had more cloning and polishing but they are both the same picture.
Good to see this up at last Gerard-
When you say very similar angle,
well, that’s a bit relative;
there are a few clues-
The floodlight in bottom left, for example, is quite a lot different in my one-
and the far pod is proportionally smaller-
You had more interesting light for yours,
looks like morning light-
with some direct sun-
good for showing off the textures on the skin,
and for the overall modeling of the forms-
I like the conversion,
the tones mimic the colour of the cladding of the building-
Like I said,
good to see this one up again,
this is fast becoming the Custom House of west Dublin-
