Had just got my new 70-200 f4L(literally, these photo’s were taken less than 15hrs after I had taken it out of the packaging!)
was my first time taking photo’s of such a fast moving sport…which I found was pretty hard!
Most of these…I have to admit… were taken on warm-up laps because they weren’t going as quick as the race laps:D
But..some were taken whilst racing:D whhat does it matter anyway.
Was my first time panning(attempting to pan!) so most aren’t in perfect focus but most imo are pretty close.
C&C much appreciated!!
Cheers.
Monty.
Yeh, I agree with you, As it was my first time panning I thought I could manage a slow shutter speed of normally around 1/60!
I had read some tips the night before and it said to use around those shutter speeds but from looking through my photo’s I’ve realised that the tips must have been more towards experienced sports photographers, around 1/100 would have been slow enough for me to handle!
Also, It was so squashed half the time were I was standing:( I feel real sorry for the guy beside me, the amount of times I elbowed him!
Theres always next year though:D
