Just a few photos from Galway, the weather wasn’t the best, very dark for the first stage, so I was using my new 50mm f1.8 found it very handy.

They are extremely impressive results from the little 50mm.. I bought one myself and been figuring out how to use it in the best way.. Great detail
What type of settings are on these? Apperture etc?

I’m sorry must have pasted over a bit of writing, its only the first 2 photos were taken with the 50mm the others were taken with a canon 70-200mm f2.8

The first two were both at f1.8, with shutter speeds around 1/200 or 1/300, the ISO speed was up around 800 or maybe higher, they were taken at 8.30 saturday morning.

The other photos were taken with the 70-200mm at f2.8 and shutter speeds around 1/1000.

The camera in manual, with autofocus set to AI servo.

Great set of shots, well captured. One for me is the pick of the bunch but the detail and clarity in number four is stunning.

They are savage, that corner on the first stage was difficult lighting to shoot motorsport. The head-on shots are crystal clear.
