cheers sean. Enjoy your new lens.

BTW – you don’t want to trade for a used (well used) 28-70 2.8 by any chance?

I agree Sean with all you said, well worth the wait

Having come from a D200 myself this camera just blows it away. I have used D2X ‘s before and this is such an improvement.

My first impressions are that it does exactly what everyone has been saying it will do. I am very impressed.

It does look fantastic, from what I’ve seen of it-
I know its meant to be pitched in the same sector of the market as the 1D MkIII,
but I wonder how it’ll compare to the 1Ds MkIII,
even allowing for the difference in sensor resolution-

And just which lenses will be able to take advantage of that extra resolution-

Congratulations to all who got their D3 already.
Mine is en-route with DHL right now (at least I hope it is…!)
Like you Phil my 24-70 did not arrive, that’ll be in the new year. Maybe see you Wed evening Phil.

Best of luck to all with the new toy!!!

    Regards,

    Hi Dominic

hopefully the work will be done in time for wednesday night, so see you then, with any luck you’ll have your new tool in hand. I must say, at first I was dubious about shooting at Iso 200 rather than 100, but after a childs portrait session yesterday I have no more doubts, the clarity of the shots and skin tones are excellant.

It will probably be the new year for the lenses but thats ok, Barry was hopefull they would be in the last friday of the year, we shall see. I have borrowed Marks 70-200 f2.8VR, very nice, on my want list already. On my wish list is the new 600mm f4, now that really would break the bank!

    See Ya
