Eyes.

As I searched for subjects in Galway City centre on Saturday I got
the feeling I was being watched.John.
Quite a character! love the air-conditioned boots :) Those Eyes certainly are
penetrating, not sure if they add to the scene or not, I want to look at the
person but keep getting drawn to the eyes! :)Hi Jenny,

I was drawn by both sets of eyes, I ones I could see and the

well spotted John – would have been a good one for the juxtaposition round last year – serious looking character not sure if he’s happy at having his photo taken?

Thats “Pat” i think, a well known character round Galway. A nice chap all round, i’m sure he wouldn’t have minded being photographed if asked but of course it wouldn’t be the same then!

I have no problem asking for permission to take a photo but as you say
it does change the whole scenario and I think it can turn it into a formal
type portrait.
I tried that recently with a local Wexford character and I thought the
photograph looked a little posed and unnatural.Thanks for taking the time to comment.
