Face on the Sea

This is a shot I took from a boat on a snorkelling trip off the Islands near Koh Samui in Thailand a while back.

I hope you had a good time in such a lovely place.
The scene without the rock looks like it would have made an interesting photograph with
it’s lovely pastel colours and the different shades of blue.I know you had to make do with the light available when you were there but I think the rock
needs some light on it to show up those textures and bring the image to life.The horizon has a slight slope which is easily fixed.
Not easy to take a photograph in a moving boat. :)I do see the face of the title or I think I do anyway. :?

Obviously a great place to see, but as John has said both the lighting and focus could have been kinder to you.
Hey thanks for the critique and comments. I can see what you mean about the lighting t’wasn’t the best really. Being overcast meant that I couldn’t make the shutter speeed as fast as I’d have liked to combat all that boat rocking. The slope doesn’t bother me so much though, cause it is extremely slight and a perfectly flat horizon isn’t always so important to me. I’m going to brighten it up a bit on the computer and maybe ease up on the contrast and I reckon it’ll pass muster. Cheers for taking a look.
