Good man Michael.. a bit of banter at last! Love it.
I’ve no shame in posting up scores… get’s those competitive juices flowing… and with a little added competition this year I’ll be analysing everything… ensuring that my squad is ticking over at maximum capacity.
Ozzie.. first thing I noticed was your near identical score!
Roll on the 16th…
J
PS. Any chance of those post processing details.. still waiting? He he.
Mick451Participant“Any chance of those post processing details”
Since the beginning of the year I’ve been doing mostly long term project based stuff, so for the sake of consistency the techniques haven’t really been changing; the usual sharpening and colour overlay stuff that I’ve documented here and elsewhere a number of times. Nowt special or difficult, only about 5 minutes work per image…if even that.
“and with a little added competition this year I’ll be analysing everything… ensuring that my squad is ticking over at maximum capacity.”
You sound like Rafa, trying to make anywhere below second place sound exciting.
Meh, get back to your pram and dolls, Fanboy.nfl-fanParticipantThey’re not dolls… they’re Barbies… and it isn’t a pram it’s a buggy… I’m a little more sophisticated than you might think.
Glory, glory!!!
carpedeumParticipantJust joined. No red scousers lowering the gene pool in my Star Chamber as usual!
Lester Burnham
Mick451ParticipantMade my final selection and won’t be near able to change them next week cos I’ll be away.
Praying for no injuries in the meantime.
Still, even if there are it would give Fanboy the decent head start he needs.
;)JodyParticipantAnd so it begins Gentlemen (Are there any ladies with a team in?)
I’ll start the mind games
My Vestal Virgins don’t really have a challenger this year, what with my ban on sex meaning the players will be concentrating on the league. I know Gaucho United ran us close last year, but its just going to take them too long to gel under a new manager and for the players to get used to his formation. The Muppets are…well…a bunch of muppets. And Jumpers 4 Goalposts will take too long getting used to actual real equipment after their promotion last year. Fat Ugly Can’t Kick, well what can I say? They can’t kick, and they have no advertising deals because they’re fat and ugly. The rest will be battling it out for mid table obscurity.
nfl-fanParticipantJust done a few last minute tweaks to the squad…
Remove any injury doubts.
Went through all the expected starting line ups for every match to confirm that all me players were expected to play.
Ready to go… very confident in the squad this year… strong in all areas… no weak links… barr maybe my very last sub where you find yourself scrapping the barrell with your last €4m.
J

13 PI Gooners 2008/09 Mark Tracey 22 22nfl-fanParticipantT’was all fairly level last Saturday evening.. wasn’t much between any of the teams.. but when I spotted the Agbonlahor hatrick on Sunday I knew there was going to be trouble!!!
Had to play my transfer wildcard… 2 non-starters in the starting lineup came on a subs (Ireland & Dempsey) and my benched striker (Windass) didn’t play… not that it made a difference as he wasn’t called up… but best safe than sorry. Not sure if 4-4-2 is the best scoring formation either.
Early days still. Roll on Week 2…
Mick451ParticipantYou’re the Steve Staunton of Fantasy Footie, Fanboy, an absolutely clueless bluffer.
Whatever happened to ‘no weak links’ in the team…oh,wait, you didn’t include your ‘football guru’ self.
Pfff.nfl-fanParticipantSays Jason Lee!!!
Now, now Mick… mind you’re conduct here… last time we had some ribbing someone got very uptight… and it wasn’t me!
Early days.. The Muppets are ready to roll for Week 2.. Glory, Glory!!!
PS. Ireland & Dempsey were bargain players who did well last season… there’s no denying that.
Mick451ParticipantI do enjoy your deluded, revisionist, self congratulatory slant on things, Fanboy.
It’s like watching Steve Staunton do an impression of David Brent aspiring to be Steve McClaren. As for Ireland & Dempsey, they did okay…not great, just okay.
Can understand having one or other of them in a team as a filler player surrounded by big players.
But not both, and not when you’ve got Windass, Muamba and Griffin on the bench. Can see Ireland slipping further down the ranks of City with old Sparky as the manager.
Fulham I wouldn’t have much hope for, aside from wee Jimmy Bullard and his fabulous hair.
Still, I’m sure you know best and if not you’ll give us a laugh with your spin on things. It’s just an idea, but maybe if you stopped humming Manyoo tunes like Glory Glory to yourself the other Liverpool fans might take you seriously.
nfl-fanParticipantHe, he.. Mick doesn’t have fancy himself as a bit of a Arsene Wenger… the mild mannered, intellectual, wise connoisseur of all things!!! Tell the truth Mick.. your just the next Barry Fry :D
Glory, Glory!!! The Muppets go marching on, on, on!!!
