I’m usually a very cool, well tempered guy… but in this instance all I can say is this…

“Mick doesn’t have fancy himself as a bit of a Arsene Wenger… the mild mannered, intellectual, wise connoisseur of all things!!! Tell the truth Mick.. your just the next Barry Fry”

It’s ‘half’ not ‘have’, it’s ‘you’re’ not ‘your’.
I’d rather be Arsene Wenger to your Graham Taylor any day.
Still, be nice to see Fat Ugly Can’t Kick (aka, F.U.C.K.) over The Muppets at the end of the season.

After week 2, I have to be happy with 3rd place in our mini-league. Never played before.
From a quick look at the overall league the key seems to be Deco – and Deco as captain.
So far so good for Deco, but he doesn’t impress me as a player.

    Nice one, Swordie.
North County Dublin is the Barcelona of Ireland ;)

Seems to be a glitch in the ‘head to head’ league thingy.
Got 46 points this week but it shows me as only getting 42 – it means I lose out to someone with 43 points.
    Bummer.

Yeah, agree on Deco but if he’s going to be taking their free kicks there’s plenty of opportunity for goals and assists.
Be interesting to see what’ll happen when Ronaldo comes back, and Fabregas (especially if the Arsenal sign another midfielder).
I’m half considering swapping Denilson for Anderson, but not this week – 5 changes to my starting team already, must stop tinkering.

…mmm Not really sure what you mean about the “Barcelona of Ireland”!

Do you mean classy, sophisticated, confident, etc
    or
the fact that we don’t know what is our best eleven and keep making changes?

A lot of goings on today:
Cheeky and newly rich Citeh making a bid for Berbatov, Villa & Gomez, sicknote Saha to be a Toffee, Voronin & Finnan out of Pool and Riera in, be interesting to see who ends up where…at the end of the day.

I think we were all brutal this week, Mark.

Quite happy with my week…bought 3 new players, had 3 subs brought on who did terrible and managed a half decent score.
Have 4 more changes provisionally lined up for this week, though that’ll depend on what happens in the real world.
Berbatov is down from 9.5 to 9.2, could turn a quick profit with him if he moves to Utd and enough people choose to snap him up.

Utd just confirmed signing Berbatov, so my 4 team changes have gone through.
Hmmm, 3 games in and 10 changes…that’s not good.
    Must stop tinkering.

That’s not tinkering, Mick. That’s called “making wholesales changes”!

Anyway, we now know who is playing where. Berbatov is gone to Man Utd, Robinho is with Man City, Riera to Liverpool, etc.
Time for the rest of us to do a bit of “tinkering”.

    How about “wholesale tinkering” ;)

Keegan seems to have left Toontown…that place is such a mess.

The leader has a bit of breathing space… but there’s very little between a lot of teams.

Anyone who hasn’t been keeping in touch you might want to think about a few substitutions. You’re allowed one free substitution a week, any more than one will cost you 4 points per.

You also have a once off wildcard that you can play which allows you to make as man substitutions as you like for free.

A good week can make a big difference and you could easily make up 10-20 points on other teams.

    Players to Watch:

Arsenal defence have only conceeded 1 goal in 4 games so far this season.

Ronaldo will be back in the United starting line-up anytime soon and I’m sure he’ll pick up where he left off last season.

Zaki of Reading seems to be the bargain buy of the season so far. 4 goals, 1 assist and 6 bonus pts puts him on top of the Striker list with 33 points so far.

Blackburn are at home to Fulham this weekend… Santa Cruz, having missed some good chances last week at Arsenal, is due to find some form soon.

Chelsea have 3 players (Deco, Lamps & Cole) in the top 5 midfielders… but hosting United this weekend I expect it to be a low scoring affair… maybe 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 or 0-0.

Gerrard seems to be in decent enough form for the Pool and is over a small injury. They play Stoke at home this weekend.

I’m sure there’s tons more form players I could mention…
