    “maybe 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 or 0-0”

Why do fence sitting numpties always have to state the bleedin’ obvious as some sort of expert ‘insight’: the Arsenal defence, Ronaldo, Santa Cruz, Lampard, Deco, Cole and Gerrard…hardly unkown quantities now are they.

    You’re auditioning for Lawro’s job, ain’t ye?

I just wanted to wish you all the worst of luck for this weekend. I have the strangest feeling I will be moving into second place.

My first 3 weeks scoring were horrific… I was getting a little sweaty under the collar… just ever so slightly… but I managed my first 50+ week last weekend… than f-ck.

Thing is… a single player could swing a big week for anyone. Adebayor’s hatrick last weekend… I had him in my team and subbed him off the other week… ah the heart ache… I also got rid of Torres… and he’ll probably score a hatrick against Stoke at the weekend… hopefully not.

The movement up and down the table is a bit meaningless at this stage… wait till about week 28-30… then it’ll start getting good.

Nah, I want that spot back.
Made 5 changes last week (-16 points) and another few this week using the wild card.
I’m getting the team to where I want it to be now – am reasonably happy with the trade off between speculating on whose price will increase, losing points for doing so, and now being able to afford a few better long term players. Still, early days yet.

Sorry Mick, but that stinks of desperation and panic. You are as good as gone :D

Just when things were starting to come together…

Someone else decides to join the league…

And they’re only 41 pts ahead of second place

    1 – Red Phoenix II – John Casey – 303 pts

Aye, used hate when that happened on the CI league.
The last coupla seasons I closed the CI league for new members once the transfer window closed.

    Sorry about that.
I was in the original one setup last year which continued on for this season. Second in that :) .
Then I spotted a second one was opened up.

RavenAsh: Not to worry… that 41 point deficit is down to 12 based on this morning’s latest table… looks like Hachie Ritch had a blazing weekend.

Looks like someone around here is a little over-indulgent in the transfer market too… ouch.

Usually make between 70-100 transfers a season, 50 if I behave myself.
Early days yet, so enjoy it while you can. ;)
