Feeding The Troops

Was having a double celebration / party / dinner (whatever the hell you’d call it anyway) today. My uncle is going back to England for the year and my parents friends are moving to Spain. Me and my girlfriend were put in charge of cooking duty for 12 people. Here’s a little taster  . By no means a great pic but maybe show some of the work we went through today.
C&C on improving food shots would be appreciated. Oh and the final pic isn’t even all the food I couldn’t fit everything on that table, ah well. IfI don’t make it as a photographer maybe I’ll become a chef
Cheers
BriansteelydanParticipantGreat Idea Brian and makes me hungry looking at it. I like the middle section most as it shows Action in the preperation side of things.Nice lighting and close ups
irishshaguaParticipantlighting is just the kitchen lights. I just tried tweaking the contrast a bit in PS. I didn’t know how to shoot food but luckily there was a setting on the camera for shooting food.
Cheers anyways. We do bookings if you’re really hungry.
PeteTheBlokeMemberVery nice idea. Is that a lobster on the right? Yum!
I think the photos in the middle section should have a wee frame
and that they should square up properly.Big FellaParticipantWell done Brian, it the middle section for me too IMO the frames left and right ane overloaded. I like the framing and over all it looks well.

Thanks for the comments, I know what you mean about the middle section and it was my intention to put a bit of a frame between them but when I transformed the shots they looked a little weird (to my eye at least) so I just tried overlaying them a bit were they wouldn’t be interfering with the main theme of the shots. Probably didn’t work out great. Anyway all the materials are there to have a fiddle with it on another day.
Cheers for the comments.Brian
P.S. Oh and Pete, it is Lobster. 7 or 8 euro from Aldi. I couldn’t resits getting it. Worked out pretty well too although the thing was tiny. :)
nfl-fanParticipantReally interesting concept there… something really different. I like it. P*ssing rain outside here… this has given me some inspiration…
irishshaguaParticipantCheers nfl. I have about thirty picures of the actual food preparation. Me gf was giving out stink to me becauseI kept running off to get the camera and left her to deal with boiling over pots. haha
Was a tough task deciding what pictures to put in and as the lads have said the dimensions in the middle frame are a bit annoying.
Cheers agsain for the comment though.
