Few from Seapoint golf club

    Hi,

Took a few at a local golf club the weekend and were my first real attempt at some landscapes. All comments welcome, I’ll put on the tin hat :)

2 and 3 are almost the same shot but the sun was almost gone in 3

    Hi Green Meanie,

    I don’t think you’ll need the tin hat. :)

I think these are very good.
You had what looks like a beautiful evening and the low evening
    sunlight is very attractive.

I like the look of the clubhouse one.
    The clouds are brilliant.
They seem to be kinda pointing at the building.
I think if maybe you had taken it from a slightly higher
viewpoint (stepladder?) you could have shown a little more of the clubhouse.
    Just a thought.

2 & 3 are nice too and the light is very good.

    The colours are quite saturated.
What processing steps did you use?

Maybe the club would be interested in some of your photographs.

    Well done.

    John.

    Thanks for the comments.

I used the Canon utility to bring out the colours and I might have brough the slider the too far?

So I followed a guide that I found on here a while ago,

    Shoot 1 RAW file
Generate 3 16Bit Tiffs, -2 stops,0 and then +2 stops (with Saturation at about 3/4)
Into photomatix for a small bit of HDR
Tweak the levels/contrast in PS Elements

So I reworked some of the colours from the middle image above for a more natural look, less saturated. Added another image too.

Too much saturated colors for me
