thedarkroomParticipant. . . . and these were taken with my little Olympus XA camera. I’ve been told that it’s neither Lo-Fi or a toy camera but what the hell, it’s not digital, I like it and I took these on the day so here they are.

lousyParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantCould you put #13 in the Oly selection up for a caption competition? Pleeeeeeease!!!!
jb7Participantvery good-
good to see these-
at last…Lo-Fi XA?
btw, those twins in your pic of the year is stunning…
how come you didn’t post it originally?MartinOCParticipantThe second set are very nice, looks like a really cool day, you seem to have caught the atmosphere well. Nice tone, what film was it?
The first set, the samplers, cool idea. I’m not sure how the camera works but a bit more time between the shots might have been better.

Hey . . . I impressed jb7 . . . I’m dead chuffed. The most meticulous critic on PI has made my day :)MartinOC wrote:

Hi Martin, I used HP5. I tend to be a creature of habit and go for this most of the time. The day was great fun and the weather was just right, bright and sunny bit not so contrasty that you lose your tonal range. There was a good crowd at it too and plenty of banter, if you haven’t been on a PI meet then I would recommend it (I know, distance is a bit of a hinderance).
The Sampler set’s of four are interesting but, as you say, the tile difference between each photo is a wee bit short and would benefit from being over a couple of seconds rather than less than one. Unfortunately it’s not adjustable. The camera is literally point and shoot with the option of turning the flash on if you want. Set shutter of 1/100th, can’t remember the aperture, fixed focus, fixed exposure, fixed flash output. Point and shoot but still fun.David
RobMemberGreat to see these Dave. Brilliant stuff. Love the Lomograph ones,
really quirky. Great memories of the day…AlessiaParticipantMartin…. they are great!!!!!!!
The no.6 seems an old time circus picture, lovely…. and the no.10 looks like a painting!!!!!
Love all of them!

a.Martin?
Thanks Alessia. The toy camera ones are a bit hit and miss and OK but it was fun, I need to play with it a bit more. I much prefer the Olympus ones but the camera is more of a good pocket camera rather than low tech lofi toy. That won’t put me off using it again, I just need to find time. I don’t know where the time is going lately.
How are you settling in over in your new home? (must be careful not to stray off the thread :) )AlessiaParticipantGod I’m really awful
Sorry David!
Lots of kisses (hoping to be forgiven!)
a.P.S.
Everything is ok here, thanks….
