Went thru my hard disk this afternoon and found some good photographs of last winter trip to Finland. Dunno why i’ve never published those :D

I like the simplicity of the last one. And what’s in #2?

    Hi Angelao,

These are very nice and, of course, a little unusual as we don’t get much chance to
photograph scenes like this in Ireland.
I feel cold looking at them.

I really like #4 (I hope I’ve got the right one/numbering them would have been handy for reference while commenting)
Theres something about it that holds my attention very well.

The last one is also very good in my opinion and shows that a very simple composition can make an interesting photograph.

    Well done.

    John.

    Thanks John!
by the way sometime is good to go thru old shots of yours, i find out that your photographic taste is chaning, that you are improving maybe, and what looked not interesting one year ago at your not experienced eyes, it might be really good in the present.
i think this is a sign of evolution, photographicaly speaking, who knows, can this maybe the sign of your improvements?

#4 for me too. I like the hazy look of it. I do find the structure on the right and the chain a little distracting though as they are not natural objects, but they fit in well in the scene too

    Hi Angelo,

I agree very much with your sentiments here.

    Cheers.

Angelo that is a fierce moody set of photos :-) Like them a lot though, as have all the other commentators. My favourite is the first, it gives a great sense of open space, and all the footprints combined with absence of any people gives a bit of mystery to it. I also like the forest shot a lot. Well done. The last one doesn’t give the same sense of space as the first, I wonder if the image would be helped by cropping, moving the grass out the centre of the image? Can’t decide.
