Firefox 3 Beta 5
-
JokerParticipant
This may have been done but the 5 Firefox beta came out at the end of last week.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.htmlI just installed it and there does appear to be a marked increase in speed. Heard some good reports about stability too, although most of the extensions are not yet compatible.
Anybody else care?NeellyParticipantJust to show you are not alone, I care and agree.
It seems stable and quick, if only my internet connection HSDPA from 3 was the same!!!! 50 km from the capitol of the second richest country in the world and can I get real broadband no way.Sorry I just get really p****d off when I think of that

Stop living in the past
open source is the future and the future is today :Pnfl-fanParticipantI installed IE8 Beta last night… gave it a quick try out and for the most part everything seemed fine.
I then noticed this morning that on PI when doing a reply and typing into the message body that I was typing faster than the characters were displaying on the screen. The cursors didn’t seem to be responding well, and the Home and End keys seemed to have to think a little before deciding what they wanted to do.
It got to the point where it was unbearable… decided to un-install.
JMcLParticipantDoes Adblock work with it yet? This is the one plugin I really can’t live without. It’s a scary experience now using a browser that doesn’t have it installed!
JokerParticipantI dunno.
I haven’t noticed any ads on this build, so it might come as standard these days.
Don’t quote me on that.nfl-fan
Can’t say that I’ve noticed those problems, but they do say that every beta installation is different.
Hence it being a beat and not an RC or gold :lol:BMParticipantNeellyParticipantjoe_elway wrote:

Ah – then you’ll like “Windows” Server 2008 Core installation. I say “Windows” cos it has no actual windows.
ExpresbroParticipantI’ve been running it for the last few days…seems fine..some nice additions…though I’m not sure about the sidebar thing!!
I think I’ll uninstall for now and reinstall the last proper version as most of the add ons and extensions that I use are not compatible..and I miss them…
