Hi Charles,
It struck me on first viewing that this was a photograph that might
look better in colour.The vehicle on the trailer, which I assume is the subject, looks a little
lost here surrounded as it is with similar tones.
Assuming the machine and the trailer are not green I think they might be
more prominent against the green foliage.The composition feels a little static which may be because the subject
is quite centrally placed in the frame.The darkened edges do help to concentrate the attention of the viewer towards
the main subject.I think you may have found a good subject and while this is a good photograph there
may be a better one to be had.Only an opinion of course.

If its your first post, then I have seen something almost exactly the same, taken at the same spot, as I seem to remember asking where it was taken, because I had a feeling I might have known where it was, and it turned out the be the spot I thought it was, not too far from Howth Castle :D
Hi Nigel, Now I’m baffled too, because I do remember a comment like that too, and thought that maybe it was on Flickr, but no… You’re correct about the location. maybe I included in another set afterwards ??????
The original post here was 24th of June, who knows, may have been flickr, but I definately remember it, because I had been in the vacinity of Howth Castle the weekend before or after I saw the shot, and had passed the spot where the shot was taken months before you took it.
Anyway, its a good shot, was it a black and white or colour converted? Next time I’m up that way, I must go looking and see if its become any more overgrown.
