First attempt at Fashion

I know little about Fashion photography, but my thoughts are:
– shots are well lit with good colour and use of shadow
– I’m unclear on what the subject is (for fashion in these shots, is it about the clothes, red necklace or the model?)
– the backgrounds draw the eye away from the model
– in the 2nd, one eye should have the dominant focus pointI would be of the same opinion as b318isp. I think in both the photos the background is distracting and serves no purpose.
in number one a tighter crop might work better and in number two a different angle to exclude that distracting background.
The shots are nicely exposed though.STU
