Very interesting shot Mick, love the colours and great mood. I think a selective sharpen on the immediate foreground would set it off nicely.
A few niggly things – there seems to be a halo around the building on the left (could be a result of pushing the saturation ?) and the horizon is slightly off. For a first attempt, this is super. Look forward to seeing more.

    Hi Ali

Thanks for the comments not sure about how the halo got there guess i will just have to keep trying on closer inspection the horizon is off.

is the halo to do with the HDR, is it made from two actual seperate exposures???

maybe they are not quite lined up, I have see HDRsoft do that when it lines them up

    Hi Steve

It is made up of 4 exposures so you could be right and its not lined up i will have to have another go and see how it works out.

Second attempt at HDR using only 2 images and the highlight and shadows options photomatix, i used the first and last exposure of a set of 8
fixed the horizon and some sharpening in the foreground as suggested by Ali. Contrast levels and curves done in PS CS 2

    C&C welcome
