jb7Participant
Thanks Covey-
appreciate the comment-
Surely it must be time for you to get a few more in this section again?j
SwordieMemberThanks for sharing these images. They bring back a load of memories.
Yer man selling the In Dublin magazines was a fixture on Grafton Street.
Have you any shots of the Diceman?Mick451ParticipantGreat to see these, JB, certainly bring back some memories.
Was everything back then made from tweed?First one is a very good street shot in its own right – character, composition and tells its own story.
Also like the third and fourth, just very well seen characters.
The last one is the pick of the bunch for me, something very cinematic about it – like a scene from a Shane Meadows film.jb7ParticipantI wasn’t going to put up any more of these,
but since you mentioned it Mick-Sorry Swordie-
don’t think I ever took a picture of The Diceman (though I did read the book)
he would have been a bit too glaringly attention seeking at the time-
and even now-However, it’d be good to have one now, now that he’s gone…
Thanks again for the comments-
funny how its possible to be nostalgic about even the bad times…j
Not Pete the blokeParticipantFor all of us children of the 60’s, these are all brilliant to look back on jb. The jacket in that last one brings back memories of manys a similar one…..!!
jb7ParticipantThere’s grand wear in that jacket Ross-
and the best thing about them was that you could make it brand new again,
using a couple of oval leather patches-j
RobMemberGreat to see these Joseph. Memories, eh?
I read the Diceman too, even entertained ideas of
imitation, but decided to fall asleep instead ;)
Marvellous images. I’m with Mick on choice of
favourites. As for the final one, I think I may have
one of those jackets, complete with leather patches,
in a wardrobe in my mother’s house…
Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be…Rob.
davedunneParticipantjb7ParticipantThanks Rob and Dave-
Dave, you can’t mean the last last one, can you?
The one with Rob’s jacket?I think I might have taken that one because I couldn’t understand the effort he was going to when there was a perfectly good low wall beside him..
That, and I had long run out of ideas-Rob, bet you can’t wait for the style to come around again-
Thanks again for the comments-
j
mgstParticipantI have looked at these a lot wasn’t really sure what to say they are a great series and bloody fantastic.
Mick
jb7ParticipantThanks Mick,
I think you might have said too much-Though you have given me a valuable insight-
From now on,
I wont be posting any more pictures until they’re at least a quarter of a century old-Thanks again-

The one with Rob’s jacket?j
No – that one reminds too much of history class in school (the jacket – not the bending over). I mean the last one in the original post which I guess is the first last one.

Ah Joseph….I think there might be a bit more to it than that…hehe!! Believe me…if I put up some of the shots I took 25 years ago they wouldn’t be getting the same reaction..more likely a polite PM from Mark asking me to take those bloody eyesores off his site…
DenverDollParticipantditto ditto ditto~~
great work Joseph…really enjoyed all of them…took quite a bit of time perusing them…lots of smiles all around :D
jb7ParticipantThanks again for the nice comments-
Sharon?
