Firstly, just wanted to thank John (aka guthrij) and Stuart (aka slang61) for the loan of the lens and camera respectively.

Secondly, this was my first gig to shoot at – so go easy

Thirdly, feel free to pass on any advice regarding these ….

    Hi Andy,
7 and 1 are my favourites -Shame the chap on the left on 7 is a bit out of focus although you can see the action in it.
What camers/lens did you use in the end?
I was at a gig there myself earleir in the week and had the usual trouble with the lighting ( minimal front lighting and lots of smoke) – did you use flash? or was it that bright/ lit up as part of the stage set? – the shot of the drummer is very well lit and captured from the Pit.

This is definitely a biased opinion – but these are brilliant..

    Cheers lads,

Slang61 – definately biased, it was your camera that took some of these

SetantaB – used flash a few times but all the colour was lost, so decided to put it away and just wait for the stage to be lit. The red lighting was very difficult to use whereas the green, blue & purple lights gave better results.
    Was using a D200 and a D60, with Sigma 70-200 f2.8, Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and Nikon 50mm f1.4

Like the one of the drummer aswell, supposedly I’m related to him (he’s a cousin of a cousin).

Anyway, thanks for the comments lads
