MIght not be a super shot and I have done very little processing but not bad for a first go and the fact I was holding the camera lol

You did well to handhold a long exposure

How long was it, if it’s not a secret?

great composition if you had it on a tripod and sharp it would be a cracker. In processing I would be tempted to add a vinignette to really make the waterfall pop

    Nice start,
invest in a good tripod, it’s half the battle …

Definitely Glencar… Tripod is a must… even if you are shooting “regular” shots with no intention to do the long exposures get a tripod and remote release… this way you will slow down to think about the composition to position camera and tripod correctly, you will eliminate vibrations, and by using remote release (cable release will do as well) you are eliminating possibility to move camera while pressing the release button – all that will contribute to sharper shots and slower shutter speeds… good luck

    Hi Marty,

According to the Exif data the exposure was 1.5 seconds and you did well to get any
    sort of useable image.

It’s a nice photograph and quite dramatic.
I think the composition is good too. Uncluttered.

I think that armed with the advise our fellow members have given a revisit
    might reap dividends.

    All the best.

    John.
