she got a bit sick of me chasing her around with the Holga..hehe!!
lol… I find it hard to imagine anyone being sick of you pointing a camera at them…
ExpresbroParticipantHaha Sinead ;-) I think you all know that’s not true…hehe!!
Anyway..
The mystery deepens…I checked the negs that I scanned of the above pics and lo and behold..they are square..6×6 i guess. But for some reason the scanner has chopped off a piece either side and made them rectangular.
I checked the way they were inserted in the holder and that seems right…
Must have another go and see what is happening.
Anyone have any experience with this?
randomwayMemberYou should disable the auto crop function… with the Epson software I usually select the film are mode and crop the images myself.
ExpresbroParticipantThere’s an Auto Crop function?
Crap!!
I’m on it…watch this space.
Thanks Zoltan
jb7ParticipantI see now where you might have gone wrong-
A square.
That’s the one with all the equal sides.
4 of them.Martin does them, and now Sinead.
I’m off to look for a shaking the head smilie…
MartinOCParticipantIf you click on the “Configuration…” and then find “film size” you can select the size of MF film you want.
Also in the option “preview”, you can change the setting “Thumbnail Cropping Area” to large give you more space around the scan.
This is handy to keep it from cropping too tight, and you can retain the fashionable MF neg borders.Unless I’ve shot something really dark this always works for me, no need to go manual.
If you wish to manually set the scanning area, just uncheck the Thumbnail box.
