I like the shot but there are a few things that niggle at me. I can’t say I know an much about wedding photography anyway but to me the car (i.e. the line of the back seat) seems to be at a funny angle causing me to want to tilt my head to the left to look at the photo – maybe if it was leveled a little it might sit easier for me. The other thing is that its a nice idea with the colour of the flowers but they seem to be out focus and so making them stand out with the colour only seems to draw attention to this. Hope this helps,
Good call about the focus and flowers john!! Spot on IMO. If you’re doing that type of shot, with selective colouring, it has to be the flowers in focus…and a different shot…very hard to pull off – it’s not a matter of taking a bog standard bride shot and turning it b/w and leaving the flowers in colour. Can’t say I do this colouring anymore, it’s got a bit old IMO – yes, I keep up with the times and fashion, as that’s what wedding photography is about and what todays brides want (mine do anyway!!).
I like the pic though…nice shot through the window frame.
I agree with you Mark about the spot colouring being out of fashion and the focus not being sharp enough, that was my reason for posting, just wanted reassurance!
