Took the below pictures in Howth this afternoon. let me know what you think? Are they as boring as watching Bosco? Any suggestions as to what you might have done differently would be appreciated as I am new to this type of photography

I can’t really comment as much on the technical side of these as street and people photography is not something I know much about…

But to me they tell a short story (probably not what actually happened here but it’s just what first came to mind!)

    1) The two guys get the job of fixing the nets… ok let’s have a go. The guy on the left already looks confused – the guy on the right just looks on.

    2) They start to struggle… guy on the left looks even more confused… the guy on the right hasn’t moved a muscle!

    3) They do a runner… and leave the job to an unlucky workmate!

To try and be technical – in the 3rd photo, the yellow float in the foreground, although OOF, is a bit distracting. And the light and shadows on the face are not the best…

    Just my two cents…

For me, the problems with the first two are the verticals of the railings
behind, not always the easiest to get right, though you’ve pretty much
nailed them in the third, which to my eye is the best of the set. That said,
that too has its distractions, not only with the floats as Jay previously
mentioned, but also with the jersey our hapless netmender decided to
wear. It all becomes a little cluttered to the eye as a result.
Still, I like the ideas. Good to see you trying something different…

    Rob.
