Hi!
First of all, sorry if there is a topic for that already, but I just couldn’t find anything for this (the search engine on this site just made me angry), not even the beginners topics. Or maybe I’m just bad at looking them up..
Just wanted to ask what would be the best flash for my first DSLR, which is a Sony A200k? I have the original lens that comes with it, Sony’s 3.5 – 5.6 / 18-70mm. I am considering of getting myself another lens, probably something like 70-300mm, so if there is a flash that would suit both of these lenses..
I mostly take pictures of people, portraits, so would prefer something that would be good indoors mainly.
I am fairly new to photography, especially DSLRs and even worse when it comes to their bits and pieces, so many different parts! So haven’t really put my finger on anything particular yet myself.
I use a Sony also, and have the Sony HVL-F36am and the Sigma EF-500DGst both are excellent
flashes, the Sony slightly has the edge as it can be used wirelessly off the camera, the Sigma would
be a lot cheaper than the Sony though. Also any hotshoe flashes will work with an adaptor available
on ebay. I have a few lenses that I no longer use give me a shout if you are interested.
Oh, the Sony one does sound very good, I’ll look into that one first so, thanks!
Of course I would be interested in the lenses. Probably won’t be buying one till the summer though, too much of everything else to do these days. But I’ll keep that in mind and will be looking for a lens again then :)
